4WD Rear Rotary Cultivator

4WD Rear Rotary Cultivator

Our 4WD Rear Rotary Cultivator is an upgraded heavy-duty farming machine built around three core designs: four-wheel drive traction, rear tine rotary working structure and full gear direct drive transmission. It outperforms traditional two-wheel, front-tine and belt-driven mini tillers in traction stability, deep tilling capacity and terrain adaptability.
Equipped with reliable diesel and gasoline power options, this four-wheel drive rear rotary tiller delivers steady traction to climb slopes, avoids tipping during deep cultivation, and works smoothly in greenhouses, orchards, hilly terrains, paddy fields and scattered small farmlands. Growers can finish rotary tilling, weed removal, ditching, ridging, soil hilling, backfilling and puddling with one versatile unit, greatly cutting manual labor and improving seasonal farming efficiency.

Product Introduction

We build a 4WD rear-rotary cultivator as the heavy-duty option in our walk-behind tiller line. Four wheels pull together, the tines sit behind the center of gravity, and power goes through a sealed gearbox with no belt. It is built for slopes, paddies and compacted soil where a 2-wheel front-tine tiller will spin or bounce.

It is available in gasoline or diesel. One machine handles rotary tilling, weeding, ditching, ridging, backfilling and paddy puddling.

Applications

  • Mountain slopes and terraces: 4WD holds on grades up to about 30°
  • Rice paddies: with paddy blades, no slipping or sinking
  • Orchards and vineyards: inter-row weeding without hitting trunks
  • Greenhouses: narrow frame, won't damage film
  • Wasteland and reclamation: deep tillage in compacted soil

Key Product Advantages

01/

Four-wheel drive

All four wheels pull at once. On wet paddies, sloped terraces and sticky clay, there is far less wheel slip and no backward slide going uphill.

02/

Rear-mounted tines

The blades sit behind the center of gravity, so the machine does not lift or bounce when digging deep. Soil throws backward, away from the operator, and depth stays consistent across the pass.

03/

Gear drive, no belt

Engine couples straight to the gearbox. Nothing slips, nothing stretches, no belt to buy or adjust. The sealed case keeps mud and water out.

04/

Cast iron gearbox

Thick cast steel housing with heavy gears and drive shafts, built for repeated hits from stones and compacted ground.

05/

Two forward speeds plus reverse

Low for deep tilling, high for moving between plots, reverse for getting unstuck in mud.

06/

Depth and width adjustable

Working width 80–110 cm, tilling depth up to 30 cm. Dial the depth limiter for shallow orchard weeding or deep reclamation.

07/

Quick-hitch attachments

Weeding wheels, ditchers, ridgers, backfillers, seed and fertilizer spreaders bolt on without modifying the frame.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. How is this different from a 2-wheel front-tine tiller?

2WD front-tine units slip on wet ground and lift up when you dig deep. This one pulls on all four wheels, digs from behind, and keeps a consistent depth.

2. Is it really 40% stronger than a belt tiller?

Under the same engine, direct gear drive loses no power to belt slip. Field comparison shows noticeably more digging force, with no stalling under load.

3. What width and depth?

80–110 cm working width, up to 30 cm tilling depth, both adjustable.

4. Does it work in rice paddies?

The diesel 4WD handles wet clay and puddling well. The gasoline version is okay for light, shallow paddy work but not for heavy mud.

5.Can one person move it?

Gasoline model: yes, easy to push by hand. Diesel is heavier; use a ramp or helper to load it.

6. What attachments fit?

Rotary blades standard. Weeding wheels, ditchers, ridgers, backfillers and spreaders available.

7. How do you start a diesel in winter?

Use winter diesel and low-viscosity oil. Electric start is an option for cold climates.

8. Are parts available?

Wear parts are universal ag-parts, sold at local farm machinery dealers. Engine and gearbox carry manufacturer warranty.

We spec these to your ground. Tell us whether you work dry land or paddies, slopes or flat fields, gasoline or diesel, and which attachments you need - we build the machine around that. Electric start and your own branding are available. Send us your working conditions and we will come back with a spec sheet and lead time.
